ANT'S ADVENTURES: SANTA CRUZ, CA

Me and Nica wanted to spend time with my nephews (Jeremiah & Jaysean) during their Winter Break since they're always trapped inside the house, so we decided to take them out. Originally we were going to go to Six Flags, but we wouldn't have much time to do a lot of stuff since the park closes earlier than we expected. So the next best place we could think of was Santa Cruz. After devouring some McDonald's we picked up on the way, we finally arrived to the Boardwalk. Even though it was Sunny outside, the cold air was still lingering around. We debated whether or not we should get a Season Pass, but in the end we came to a conclusion of buying 2 Rides worth for everyone. We all got to ride what we wanted, but definitely chose the wrong ride to go on for our last ride. Me and Nica convinced the boys to get on Haunted Castle which was not a great idea. As me and Nica was laughing throughout the whole thing, the boys draped their eyes under their hoods and prayed it would be over as soon as the beginning doors opened. We spent most of our time at the Fun Center Arcade and even came up on some unclaimed tickets. Before we headed out for dinner, we all had a good time on the beach (even though it was dark out already). Being there with the kids and not having to worry about anything else, definitely took a toll on me. It reminded me to spend as much time for the people I love and to never forget who I am. I am still that silly and goofy person I was since I was about Jaysean's age and I'm still the person who makes sure I listen and stay kind-hearted like Jeremiah. For dinner, we ate at this spot called Yan Flower that had endless amounts of delicious dishes to choose from. Knowing all of us, we ordered which felt like the entire menu haha. Even thought our stomachs were about to explode, there was one more place I wanted to surprise the gang with. Before we reached the Boardwalk, this one ice cream diner caught my eye and I knew we had to stop there before heading back home. This heavenly sweet spot, Marianne's had all different types of flavors imaginable. I choose the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Dough, Jeremiah picked the Malt Fudge, Jaysean picked "Heaven" which consisted of fudge/brownies/vanilla ice cream and Nica got the Rainbow Sorbet. Finally on the road back home, watching everyone knocked out as I am trying to keep my eyes open, at that moment I knew we made the right decision.
